It is well worth visiting both Spynie Palace about 2 miles south of Lossiemouth and Duffus Castle. Also worth a visit is the Lossiemouth Fisheries Museum which is located by the marina.
There are two main walking routes: Along the cliffs from Lossiemouth to Hopeman, or across the River Lossie by the footbridge to Kingston. There is also a forest trail - From the Ten-Ton Brig, crossing the River Lossie and out to Boar's Head.
There are two excellent golf courses in Lossiemouth. Permits are available locally for fishing, the Covesea Riding School caters for all levels of equestrian skills, or sailing is available with the Lossiemouth Sailing Club and an indoor sports centre provides many sports facilities including swimming.
The Whisky Trail is a great tour of distilleries.
The Castle Trail provides a scenic tour around the many historic castles.
At Fochabers visit Christies Garden Centre & Gift Shop with an extensive variety of gifts. The Fochabers Folk Museum shows a large display of village history including horse drawn vehicles. Also, Christies Chemist on the high street for your newspapers, stationery, gifts and medical needs.
